I photographed Madison and Paul’s engagement shoot some time ago now, but it only feels like yesterday. These two are so full of love and laughter, I knew their wedding would be a hoot.
Covid came and of course another wedding was put on hold! Although Madison and Paul decided to keep their original date and marry and celebrated with family and friends last weekend with all the bells and whistles. What an amazing day, and a great way to do it all again the way their wedding was originally planned.
The Alcyone Residences in Hamilton is a stunning venue for bride and groom preparations, and being only a short distance from their wedding venue Indooroopilly Golf Club. I absolutely loved Madison’s stunning dress by Essences of Australia, and it has pockets!
One thing I love about Golf Club weddings, the grass is green, and we have some gorgeous locations to shoot amongst, and Indooroopilly Golf Club was impressive. We loved hanging out in the wooden area, before heading off to the magical fig tree for some photos as the sun set.
I love hearing the story of how couples met. Paul was a friend of Alexander who is married to Megan, Madison’s sister. At Megan and Alexander’s wedding, Madison and Paul were partnered up and got to know each other a little better in the months leading up to the wedding. A couple of months later, Madison and Paul went on their first date at the movies. Fast forward six years, Paul proposed at home after getting McDonalds for breakfast – one of Madison’s favourites.
